The probation office will not accept payments mailed or hand-delivered.  All payments for special assessment, fines and restitution are receipted by the U.S. District Court clerk's office. 

Submit a completed payment transmittal along with a money order or cashier’s check made payable to: Clerk, U.S. District Court, Financial Section, 1729 5th Avenue North, 1st Floor, Birmingham, Alabama 35203.  Payment transmittals can be obtained from the probation office.

You should mail payments directly to the address cited above. Do not send personal checks or cash as payment through the mail.  If you prefer to pay in cash, you must present payment in person to the Clerk’s Office.  It is a good idea to keep your own record of payments made.
